Alpine Skating Club to host special clinic with Damon Allen

Hi All ~
Alpine is very pleased to offer our members the opportunity to participate in a special clinic with Damon Allen (coach to national and international competitors) on Saturday April 28th from 4:45pm to 7:45pm at Apex Ice Arena.
The clinic will begin with an off-ice introduction and Dynamic Warm Up session at 4pm followed by on-ice instruction in jump technique/exercises, and finish up with a power class that is, according to Damon, “certain to kick everyone’s butt!”
NOTE: We are limiting this to Alpine members with a jump proficiency of single axel or higher.
Deadline for registration is Monday, April 9th.  To register, provide the following information by way of return email to cmzeles@aol.com:
  • Skater’s Name
  • Current tested freeskate level
  • Current jump(s) you’re working on
  • Age
  • Coach’s name


There is no charge for current Alpine members.  We will provide sandwiches and bottled water and are requesting that everyone bring food to share (details will follow).
Space is limited to the first 25 who register.
Please be aware that after April 9th, we may open this opportunity to non-Alpine skaters if space is available, so please register as soon as possible, but no later than April 9th. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to improve your skills!!!

Alpine Skater Exhibitions will be June 2

Please save the date – June 2nd – starting at 4pm – for Exhibitions and Critiques for Alpine Skaters before the start of the summer competition season.
More information and the sign up information will be forthcoming soon.  It will be on a first come basis for Alpine skaters but if we have additional time, we will open it up to non-Alpine skaters.
